Jungle

This room is my interpretation of a jungle theme. The client showed me a picture of the a window with a chimp in it and said she like the tree house idea. I decided to make the whole room feel like a jungle bungalow. The boy loves it!

Nursery_Rhymes

Nursery rhymes are always a favorite for very small children's rooms. My sister wanted these in her son's room. Hickory Dickory Dock, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Humpty Dumpty and Hey Diddle Diddle are all incorporated into this room. There are also painted on glow-in-the-dark stars throughout to tie it all together.

Outer_Space

This is my favorite room to date. I painted every inch of this room from the bottom up, background color and all. I wanted this child to feel like he was on his own planet, as he was very into outer space and constellations. There are actually 4 or 5 constellations painted into the sky around the room and many of the stars are glow in the dark. I was told recently that although the boy has moved out of the room, they can't bear to paint over it and so use it for general "hanging out", as kids like to say.

Farm

This room is another one of my favorites. My nephew is one lucky little boy. I had a lot of fun painting this one since I grew up on a farm. I really like the cat looking at the inchworm. He likes the baby chickens that were in part of it.

Egg in Stuart, IA

This is a fiberglass egg about 5 feet tall that the Chamber of Commerce asked me to paint. Our town celebration is called Good Egg Days, so the egg is very fitting!

Sports themes

This is just from one room right now, but sports themes are popular, so I'm sure there will be more in the future. What child doesn't love sports at some point?

Playrooms

These were painted in a playroom shared by two sisters and a brother. The lockers were painted with things that each child liked specifically and they got to bring their favorite toy for me to paint into their locker. What you see is what they brought to me. All three of them also got to add their handprints to the walls, which they had fun doing!
